I just tried a brand of sea moss gummies and they taste like candy! I mean, I get it, we want them palatable, but aren't we defeating the purpose? Back in the day, we took our supplements in raw form or capsules. All this sugar can't be good for you.

Tbh I love the convenience. I'm a busy professional with barely time to chew a proper meal, let alone blend raw sea moss. If a few grams of sugar help me actually remember to take it, I'll take that trade-off.

I get both sides. As a runner, I need quick energy, so I don't mind some sugar. But check the label - some brands have like 5g per gummy! That's not a supplement; that's a dessert. Look for ones with 1-2g or no added sugar.

Med student here. The sugar is a concern for long-term use, especially if you're taking multiple gummies a day. It can spike insulin and contribute to metabolic issues. But if it's the difference between taking them or not, a little sugar might be okay.

Thanks all! I guess there's a middle ground. I'm going to look for low-sugar options or just go back to capsules. Appreciate the input!
