Sea Moss Gummies on the Go: Melt Risk? TSA? Help!
Hey all, I'm heading to the Rockies next week for a hiking trip and want to bring my sea moss gummies. But I'm worried about them melting in my backpack or if TSA will give me a hard time on the flight. Any advice? Do they survive heat? Also, any storage tips for when I'm out on the trail?
I've taken mine on a plane before - TSA didn't bat an eye. They're not a liquid or gel, so they're fine in your carry-on. For heat, they can get soft if it's hot, but they won't turn into a puddle. I'd keep them in a cooler bag or at least in the shade. If they do get squishy, just pop them in the fridge when you get to your destination - they'll firm up.
Honestly, I just leave mine in the original bottle and toss it in my backpack. They're gummies, they're pretty sturdy. But I've had a bad experience with gummies melting in a hot car once, so I'd say avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or a hot car for hours. For hiking, maybe put them in a small insulated pouch? Or eat them first before they get too warm.
Thanks guys! That helps. I think I'll put them in a small cooler bag with an ice pack for the flight and trail. Should be fine. Also, good to know TSA won't hassle me. Appreciate the quick replies!
