THREAD: Sea Moss Gummies - Anyone else's kids loving these?Started by OrganicOlivia44

Hey everyone! I recently started giving my kids sea moss gummies from a local organic brand, and they're obsessed! They ask for them every morning. I love that they're getting extra vitamins and minerals without any artificial colors or sweeteners. Has anyone else tried these? I'm curious about other brands - are there any with higher iodine content?

I'm skeptical about these trendy supplements. Sea moss gummies sound like another expensive wellness fad to me. Aren't regular fruits and vegetables enough for kids? Plus, I've read that some sea moss products can have heavy metal contamination. Has anyone actually seen proven benefits, or is this just placebo effect?

Frank, I understand your concern, but we've been using them for 3 months now and my daughter's seasonal allergies have improved dramatically! We get ours from a sustainable harvester in Maine. Olivia - the brand we use has 150mcg of iodine per serving, which is perfect for thyroid support. The key is finding transparent companies that do third-party testing.

My wife bought some last week and honestly, I think they taste terrible! Our kids won't touch them. Are there any brands that actually taste good? Also, what's the ideal dosage for a 7-year-old? The bottle says 2 gummies daily, but that seems like a lot for a small child.

Pete, we use the Berry Blast flavor from Ocean Organics - my kids say they taste like candy! As for dosage, I checked with our pediatrician who said 1 gummy daily is sufficient for kids under 10. Frank - I get the skepticism, but we've noticed better immune function and fewer sick days since starting them. Maybe try a small bottle before dismissing them completely?

Totally agree about checking with pediatricians first! Also, for anyone concerned about heavy metals - look for brands that use wild-harvested, cold-processed sea moss from clean waters. The cheap stuff from questionable sources is what gives these products a bad name. We've been making our own gummies too - super easy with agar powder instead of gelatin!
