THREAD: Weird side effect from sea moss gummies? Anyone else?Started by OP

Hey everyone, I started taking sea moss gummies about a week ago (the cheap brand from the grocery store, lol). They're supposed to be good for immunity and stuff, but I've noticed something weird - my dreams have been SUPER vivid, like movie-level intense. Nothing scary, just... really detailed and memorable when I wake up. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal or should I be concerned? I feel fine otherwise!

OMG yes!! I got the budget ones too from that discount vitamin site. I didn't connect it at first, but now that you mention it, my dreams have been wild lately! Last night I dreamed I was a sea turtle eating kelp in slow motion 😂. I think it's harmless though - maybe just our bodies adjusting? I'm sticking with them cause they're cheap and my skin looks better already.

Interesting. I'm on keto and take sea moss for electrolytes. Haven't noticed dream changes, but my urine did get brighter yellow at first - probably just the excess B vitamins flushing out. Make sure you're drinking enough water! Could be detox effects. What brand are you using? Some have fillers that might affect people differently.

Back in my blogging days (circa 2015!), I reviewed like 12 different sea moss products. Vivid dreams came up in the comments occasionally! One theory is the iodine content affecting thyroid function subtly. As long as you're not having nightmares or sleep disruption, it's probably just your body's quirky response. The 90s supplement scene was full of these odd side-effect reports - reminds me of when everyone took St. John's Wort and reported weird taste changes!
