Hey all! I'm trying to make my own shilajit gummies at home using agar (vegan option). First batch turned into a slimy mess. Second batch set too hard and the shilajit settled at the bottom. Any tips on getting the right consistency and even distribution? Using shilajit resin, not powder. Thanks!

I feel your pain! I tried with gelatin once and it was a disaster. With agar, you need to bloom it properly and whisk constantly while adding the shilajit. Also, make sure your liquid isn't too hot or it'll kill the beneficial compounds. What ratio of agar to liquid are you using?

I'm no expert but I make keto gummies all the time. For shilajit, I'd recommend using a tiny bit of lecithin as an emulsifier. That might help with the settling. Also, try suspending the shilajit in a bit of warm water before adding to the agar mix. Post your recipe and we can troubleshoot!

Agar can be tricky. I've had success by letting the agar mixture cool slightly before adding the shilajit, then using an immersion blender. Make sure the mold is silicone and pop it in the fridge for at least an hour. Also, check your agar strength—some brands differ wildly.
