Tried making my own shilajit gummies today with gelatin and some fulvic acid powder. Followed a recipe online but they came out super sticky and never set. I even refrigerated for 4 hours. Any tips? I need portable energy for my long runs!

Hey Mango, pro chef here. Likely your gelatin ratio was off. For firm gummies you need about 1 tbsp gelatin per 1 cup liquid. Also, did you bloom the gelatin in cold water first? And avoid acidic ingredients near the gelatin - shilajit can be acidic. Try agar agar next time if you want vegan option.

Yo, fellow faster here. I make shilajit gummies with agar because I don't eat animal products. Agar sets firmer at room temp but you gotta boil it for a min to activate. Also, use less liquid than you think. My first batch was slime too lol.

Biohacker chiming in. Shilajit is heat-sensitive! If you boiled the mixture, you might have degraded the compounds. I make mine with unflavored gelatin, add the shilajit powder after the liquid cools to 120°F. Also, add a pinch of potassium sorbate to prevent mold. For runs, add a little salt for electrolytes.
