My Kid Ate the Shilajit Gummies! Help!
So I bought these Shilajit gummies for me and my wife. They look and taste just like gummy bears. My 5-year-old found them and ate a handful. I freaked out a bit, but he seems fine. Just a heads up, keep these out of reach! Anyone else have a similar story?
Oh man, that's a classic. Shilajit is generally safe in small amounts, but kids shouldn't have it. Keep an eye out for any allergic reactions or stomach upset. But yeah, store them in a high cabinet. Maybe lock them up. My neighbor's kid once ate a whole bottle of melatonin gummies and that was scary.
Why are we giving kids supplements they don't need? Shilajit is for adults. I don't trust those gummies anyway. They're probably full of sugar and who knows what. Stick to real food for your kids, not gimmicks.
Totally agree on the kid thing. But for adults, Shilajit has some science behind it - fulvic acid, minerals. Just be careful with dosing and keep them away from little ones. Maybe consider a different form like resin or powder that's less appealing to kids.
Ha! I once saw my husband grab the gummies thinking they were his daily vitamins. He didn't notice until I pointed out. He said they tasted better than his usual. But yeah, kids are sneaky. We keep ours in a lockbox now. Safe travels, eh?
