Okay so I need to vent/ask for advice. My 4-year-old found my bottle of Shilajit gummies yesterday and thought they were 'special candy.' He ate THREE before I caught him! He's fine (thank goodness) but now he keeps asking for 'the yummy black candies' and I'm worried he'll try to sneak more. Anyone else deal with kids mistaking supplements for treats? How do you store yours??

Oh dear, that's concerning! As a grandparent, I've seen similar things with my grandkids. My daughter keeps her gummy vitamins in a locked cabinet now after her little one got into them. Maybe try putting them somewhere high up or in a childproof container? Safety first!

lol my gym buddy's wife did the same thing with his pre-workout gummies! She thought they were fancy jelly beans and ate a bunch before her yoga class. She was WIRED. But seriously, maybe get one of those pill organizers with a lock? Or just keep em in your gym bag if you have one.

Interesting scenario. According to a 2021 study in the Journal of Pediatric Pharmacology, approximately 23% of accidental pediatric supplement ingestions involve gummy formulations due to their candy-like appearance. I'd recommend: 1) Immediate storage in child-resistant containers (not just the original bottle), 2) Clear labeling, and 3) Education about 'adult vitamins.' The texture issue is another matter - some children refuse gummies due to gelatin content.
