Just got my first bottle of Shilajit gummies, and I'm shocked. They're basically little sugar bombs! I mean, I get it, they're convenient, but aren't we falling into the same trap as everything else? I wanted the pure resin, but the taste is so bad I went with these. Now I feel like I'm cheating on my gym diet. Anyone else feel this way?

You're not wrong. The bioavailability of fulvic acid and minerals in gummies can be affected by the added sugars and processing. They often use inferior extracts to mask the taste. But the convenience is real. I think the key is to check the label for actual shilajit extract percentage and sugar per serving. Some brands use organic cane sugar or even sugar alcohols. Still, I'm with you - I prefer the resin and just chase it with some lemon water. 😅

Honestly, I see it as a step back. Supplements are becoming more like snacks. The whole point is to get the nutrients, not a dessert. I've been using the raw resin for years. It's not that bad if you mix it in warm tea. And it's more potent. Sure, it takes a little extra effort, but I feel it's worth it. Gummies are for kids and people who can't handle a little bitterness.

I hear you, but as a busy professional, I don't always have time to measure out resin and deal with the mess. I'm not saying gummies are perfect, but they're the difference between me taking shilajit regularly vs. maybe once a week. I look for ones with minimal added sugar - some use monk fruit or stevia. It's a trade-off. Maybe not for purists, but I'm okay with a little sugar to get the benefits.
