Hey everyone! I've been taking shilajit gummies for a couple weeks now. I left the bottle in my car overnight (dumb, I know) and when I got them this morning, they were all stuck together and the color changed from dark brown to like a greenish tint. They also got harder. Are they still safe to eat? I don't want to waste them but also don't want to feel sick.

Yikes! That sounds like a classic case of temperature damage. Shilajit is pretty sensitive to heat and moisture. The color change and hardening are probably due to the gummies melting slightly and then re-solidifying, and maybe some oxidation. I'm not a doctor, but I wouldn't risk it. The texture change isn't a big deal, but the color change could indicate the active compounds are degrading. Better safe than sorry - I'd toss them and get a new bottle. Also, store them in a cool, dry place, not in the car!

agree with Olivia. Plus, if they're sugar-coated, the sugar can crystallize and make them hard. But the greenish tint is weird. I wouldn't eat them. I've had shilajit resin before and it's naturally dark, but gummies have other ingredients that might go rancid. Also, check the expiration date. When in doubt, throw it out!

Oh no! I had a similar thing with my CBD gummies once - they melted in the car and turned into a weird blob. I didn't eat them because I was scared. But I get the desire not to waste money. Maybe you could contact the company and see if they have advice? Some companies are really good about replacements. And for the future, maybe keep them in a mini fridge? I do that with my gummies now, and they stay perfect.

Thanks everyone! I'm gonna toss them. Lesson learned - never leave in the car. I'll check with the company to see if they'll replace them. Appreciate the help!
