Traveling with Shilajit Gummies: Melt-proof or Melt-down?

Hey all! I'm heading to the Rockies for a week of hiking and camping. I've been taking shilajit gummies for energy and I don't want to skip them, but I'm worried about them melting in my backpack (it gets hot!) and also any TSA issues when flying out. Anyone have experience with these on the go? Should I just put them in a cooler or will they liquify? Also, do they need to be in original packaging for security?

I travel a lot for work (keto on the road, ya know). I've taken shilajit gummies on flights and road trips. TSA doesn't care about gummies – they're not a gel or liquid, so just toss them in your carry-on. As for melting, I've had them in my car in summer and they get soft but not totally liquid. If you're worried, put them in a small insulated pouch or even a thermos. Also, I always keep them in their original jar just in case, but no issues so far.

Ugh, I feel you. I once took some regular gummy vitamins on a road trip and they turned into a blob. But shilajit might be different. I usually put mine in a ziploc bag and throw it in the cooler with my snacks. They get a bit sticky but still edible. For TSA, just keep them in your carry-on – I've never had a problem. But if you're flying, maybe don't put them in your checked bag because the cargo hold can get really cold, but that's fine actually. Ha. Main thing is to keep them away from direct heat.

Wait, you guys actually take shilajit gummies? Isn't that just overpriced dirt? I'd rather carry some electrolyte pills. But to each their own. I've seen people bring weird stuff on planes, so gummies are nothing. For storage, just keep them in a cool place. If they melt, you can refrigerate them to firm them up. But honestly, why bother? Just buy new ones at your destination.

Thanks for the tips! @YogurtYuri88, the insulated pouch is a great idea. @RootRose664, I'll try the cooler trick. @ZestZack896, I get the skepticism, but I've found they help with my energy levels when I'm hiking. Anyway, I'm packing them in a small insulated lunch bag with an ice pack, and I'll keep them in my carry-on. Appreciate the help, everyone!
