Are sleep gummies just candy in disguise?

Okay, I gotta vent. I see all these 'sleep gummies' and they're basically candy with a sprinkle of melatonin. Why does every supplement have to be a sugary gummy? I want something that works, not a dessert. Am I the only one who thinks this is just marketing junk?

I get where you're coming from, but as a night shift worker, convenience is everything. I don't have time to brew tea or count out capsules. The gummies help me wind down after a 12-hour shift. Sure, they have sugar, but it's like 2g per gummy. Not a big deal imo.

I'm with Ursula on this. I track macros, and those extra grams of sugar add up. Plus, the 'candy-fication' makes me feel like I'm not taking my health seriously. I'd rather have a clean melatonin tablet. But I guess if it gets people to sleep, whatever works.

There's a middle ground. I make my own sleep gummies at home with melatonin drops, gelatin, and stevia. No refined sugar, and I control the dose. Store-bought ones are usually overpriced and filled with corn syrup. But for people who can't DIY, maybe find ones sweetened with monk fruit or erythritol.
