Hey all, tried making my own sleep gummies with gelatin and a mix of melatonin, magnesium, and chamomile powder. Followed a basic recipe but they came out super rubbery and chewy - not the soft texture I wanted. Anyone got tips for getting that perfect gummy texture? Also, how do you mix powders in without clumps?

Greg! I've been there. Couple things: make sure you're blooming the gelatin in cold water first, then heating gently. Also, agar agar can give a firmer set if you're using that. For powders, mix them with a little bit of the liquid before adding to the main brew. Or try using a blender. What ratio of gelatin to liquid did you use?

Oh dear, I've had batches turn out like gummy bears on steroids! One tip: don't boil the mixture after adding gelatin - it ruins the set. Also, a tablespoon of corn syrup or honey helps with softness. And for even dispersion, I dissolve powders in a small amount of warm water first. Let us know if you figure it out!

Thanks guys! I think I boiled it too long, that might be it. I used 2 tbsp gelatin to 1 cup liquid, which could be too much? Ben, I'll try a blender next time. Holly, never thought of corn syrup - will def try that. Appreciate the help!
