Hey everyone! I'm trying to put together a little 'health pack' for my dad (he's 68 and complains about sleep) and also for my best friend (he's a fitness nut who's always trying new supplements). I was thinking maybe some sleep gummies for dad and something energizing for my friend. Any recommendations? I want something that actually works and tastes decent. Budget is like $30-40 each. Thanks!

Great idea! For your dad, I'd recommend the 'Dreamy ZZZs' from GummyWell. They have melatonin, chamomile, and a low dose of L-theanine - perfect for older folks who don't need a ton of melatonin. I've been using them for months and they're super gentle. For your friend, the 'Focus & Flow' gummies from VitaCharge are amazing - they have caffeine from green tea plus adaptogens like rhodiola. They give a clean energy boost without jitters. Both are around $35. Just make sure to check with your dad's doc first since he's on any meds!

Honestly, I'm skeptical about gummies doing much for sleep or energy. Most are just expensive sugar with a little melatonin or caffeine. Have you tried just giving your dad a magnesium glycinate supplement and a consistent bedtime routine? And your friend - why not just a good cup of coffee or matcha? I've seen too many people rely on gummies and get disappointed. But if you insist, BioBob's recs are probably the least sketchy.

I actually make my own sleep gummies at home using gelatin, tart cherry juice, and a tiny bit of melatonin. Way cheaper and you can control the ingredients. But for store-bought, I agree with BioBob - the 'Dreamy ZZZs' are solid. For the athletic friend, look for something with beta-alanine or citrulline for pump, not just caffeine. 'Pump Power' by NutraGains is decent. No weird aftertaste. But yeah, don't expect miracles. And Luna, you're not wrong about routine being key.

Thanks all! I think I'll go with the 'Dreamy ZZZs' for dad and maybe the 'Focus & Flow' for my friend. I'll also suggest my friend try some natural options like matcha like Lunar suggested. And Huberman, I might try making my own someday! Appreciate the help.
