Hey all, stumbled on this study (PMID 12345678) that says melatonin gummies have way more melatonin than the label claims. Says some brands have like 3x the dose. I've been taking a popular brand for months for sleep, but now I'm wondering if it's actually safe? You guys think this study is legit or just another scare tactic? I mean, I feel fine, but still...

Interesting. I actually saw that too. I'm all about natural stuff, but I'm cautious with any supplement. That study is from a decent journal though, not some random blog. I've been using a brand that's third-party tested and they're usually more accurate. But honestly, the supplement industry is underregulated. For sleep, I've switched to herbal blends like valerian and chamomile - less worry about crazy dosages.

As a mom, I'm super concerned. My teen uses gummies for sleep and if the dosage is off, that's a big deal. I read the study and it wasn't just one brand - it was several. They used advanced testing, so I think it's legit. But does that mean we should stop using them? I'm thinking of switching to a brand that has a USP verification. They're more transparent. Anyone else worried about their kids?

I'm a marathon runner and I rely on sleep for recovery. I've been using a specific brand, and I did notice they now print 'may contain excess melatonin' on the label after that study. But my blood tests are fine, no issues. I think moderation is key. But is there a way to measure melatonin content at home? Maybe I'm overthinking.
