My Daughter Thinks Sleep Gummies Are Candy – Help!
So, my 5-year-old found my sleep gummies (the melatonin ones) and thought they were gummy bears. She ate like 3 of them before I caught her. I freaked out, called poison control, but they said she'd be fine, just sleepy. She took a 3-hour nap! Anyone else have this happen? How do you keep them out of reach?
Oh my gosh, that's scary but also kind of funny. My hubby did the same with my elderberry gummies – he thought they were just fruit snacks. He ended up with a stomach ache. I now keep all vitamins in a high cabinet with a childproof lock. But honestly, gummy vitamins are so tasty, it's a struggle! Maybe try a different brand that's less candy-like? Or just hide them really well.
Haha, been there! My 6-year-old grabbed my sleep gummies once and I ended up with a zombie kid the next morning. I bought a timed lockbox for my supplements – it's like a safe that only opens at a set time. Also, I make sure to take them right before bed and keep them in the kitchen, not the bathroom where kids can find them. But yeah, they really should make them taste less like candy!
Thanks for the tips! I'm definitely getting a lockbox – that's genius. And I'll try to keep them in the back of the fridge or something. My daughter is still asking for 'the sleepy candy' haha. I need to hide them better for sure.
