My kid tried to sneak a handful of sleep gummies like they were candy!

Okay, so my 5yo found the bottle of sleep gummies in the pantry and I caught him with a handful saying 'Mommy, these are yummy candy!' Ugh, we had a serious talk about not taking anything without asking. But honestly, I'm worried about a real incident. Are these things too tempting? Should I lock them up? Also, they do taste good - is that a bad thing?

Oh man, that's scary! I'd definitely put them out of reach, like high up or in a lockbox. They are often made with sugar or natural sweeteners to mask the melatonin/other stuff. But I love that they taste good - makes it easier for me to take them. My husband calls them 'sleep candy' lol. Maybe just treat them like medicine?

Haha, I can relate - but with my spouse! She ate a whole bag of 'relaxation gummies' thinking they were regular gummy bears. An hour later she was knocked out cold. I had to finish her chores. 😂 But yeah, keep 'em locked up kids AND spouses.

Lol DynamicDan, that's hilarious... until I realize I might be the spouse who does that. I'm getting a lockbox for sure. Any recommendations for a good 'kid-proof' container?

I use a kitchen cabinet lock, works fine. Also, maybe switch to a brand that uses a 'not so yummy' coating if it's a real temptation. But honestly, education wins. My kid knows to NEVER touch anything that looks like medicine without asking, even if it smells like fruit.
