Sleep gummies: convenient or just candy?
I just started taking these sleep gummies for my insomnia and they work great, but man, the sugar content is crazy! Feels like I'm eating candy before bed. Is this really healthy? Don't get me wrong, I love the taste, but I'm worried about all that sugar at night. Any thoughts?
I feel you, DynamicDan. I try to avoid anything with added sugars, especially for my kids. There are some brands that use stevia or monk fruit, and they even have sugar-free options. It's all about reading labels. But yeah, the convenience is hard to beat. I've been making my own gummies with gelatin and melatonin powder – it's actually super easy!
Honestly, I stay away from all this 'candy-fied' stuff. If you need sleep aid, try magnesium or valerian root in capsule form. No sugar, no weird ingredients. Gummies are just another way to turn supplements into junk food. But I get it, people want convenience. Just my two cents.
Thanks for the input, y'all. YogaYara, I might try making my own – sounds cool. GreenGreg, I hear you on the purity thing, but I have trouble swallowing pills. The gummies help me actually take them. Maybe I'll look for a sugar-free brand. Any recommendations?
@DynamicDan767, I've used 'ZzzQuil Pure Zzzs' which are sugar-free and use melatonin with botanicals. Also 'Olly' has a 'Sugar-Free' line but not sure about their sleep one. Always check the labels! Good luck!
