Are we turning vitamins into candy? The sugar in softgels is ridiculous!
Just lookin at the label of my new gummy multivitamin and it has 3g of sugar per serving! That's basically candy. Why do we need all this sugar in our supplements? I just want the vitamins, not a dessert. Anyone else feels like this is gettin out of hand?
Bro I get it but softgels are the only way I can remember to take my supps. The taste is a plus for me. I'd rather have a little sugar than miss my doses. Plus I burn it off anyway with my WODs.
The sugar is unnecessary and harmful. Real supplements should be in organic, sugar-free forms like capsules or powders. These 'gummies' are just marketing to kids... and adults who can't handle the truth. If you want convenience, make your own healthy version at home.
I'm with RootRose. I was skeptical too. My kids love the gummies but I switched to sugar-free after seeing the ingredients. It's not that hard to find better options. Just read the labels carefully. Some brands use stevia or monk fruit.
Thanks everyone. I guess I'll look for a sugar-free brand. Still, I wish the industry would stop making everything taste like candy. Gonna check out some of the recommendations.
