Hey everyone! I came across this study about fish oil softgels (PMID: 34567890). It claims high-dose EPA reduces joint pain in athletes. But it was funded by a supplement company. Thoughts? Link: [fake link]

I’ve been taking fish oil for years, and my recovery time definitely improved. But yeah, industry-funded studies are always sus. I’d look for independent trials. Still, the mechanism makes sense.

Great find! I’d check if it’s peer-reviewed. Even with funding, if the methodology is solid, it might be legit. I usually trust studies with larger sample sizes. Also, fish oil is generally safe so no harm in trying.

I’m skeptical. Softgels often have oxidation issues. Maybe look into the brand’s purity tests. But honestly, diet matters more. Just eat salmon 🐟

Thanks guys! I’ll check for independent research. And Claire, good point about oxidation - I’ll look for stability tests. Maybe I’ll try a smaller dose first.
