Short interest spike for NAII – thoughts?

(NASDAQ:NAII) Short Interest Up 350.7% in February Recent financial data indicates a shift in market sentiment regarding Natural Alternatives Interna... What do you guys think about this? Is the market betting against NAII hard? They’re big in gelatin alternatives right? Any thoughts?
Whoa that's a massive jump! I'm not surprised though, NAII has been pushing synthetic stuff and people want real food sources. Their move into non-gelatin capsules is cool but they still use too many fillers. The shorts might be smelling that. I'd rather see them focus on whole food gummies tbh.
Interesting... I don't follow stocks much, but I know NAII is a big contract manufacturer for a lot of supplement brands. If short interest is up, maybe insiders know something? Or it could just be noise. I'd look at their recent earnings and see if they’re expanding into eco-friendly packaging. My yoga community loves when companies reduce plastic.
Short interest spike is often bearish but 350%? That seems extreme. Might be a squeeze potential tbh. But from a minimalist perspective, I don’t invest in companies that aren’t sustainable. NAII’s reliance on gelatin alternatives is okay but I wish they’d switch to plant-based totally. For now, I’m sticking with my local brand that uses pectin.
Thanks for the input guys! @OrganicOlivia530 I agree they need to clean up their ingredients. @MindfulMila good point about earnings, I'll check. @EarthElias370 yeah a squeeze could happen but I’m wary. Anyone else have thoughts on NAII’s future?
