So I just read this article about softgels and it's got me thinking. Apparently they're using phthalate-free stuff now, but the glycerin and sorbitol are still there. I've been taking fish oil softgels for my keto, but now I'm wondering if I should switch to liquid or something. What do you guys think?

Honestly, I never paid attention to that stuff. I just pop my caffeine pills (which are softgels) and go. But if they're using phthalates, that's bad. But the article says they're phthalate-free now, so maybe it's a non-issue? Glycerin and sorbitol are just sweeteners, right? Probably fine.

I've been meditating on this, haha. But seriously, I try to avoid unnecessary additives. I switched to gummies for my vitamins, but now I'm worried about the sugar. Maybe I should look into powder? Anyway, thanks for sharing, I'll check the article.

Just read the article. It's a good summary. The key is that many softgels use gelatin (from animals) and often contain additives. The shift to phthalate-free is a step, but glycerin and sorbitol can cause digestive issues in some. I'd recommend researching brands that use clean fillers or opt for liquid or powder forms. Always check the label!
