Are we just eating candy? The sugar in Super Green Gummies bothers me
I just checked the label on my Super Green Gummies and they have 5g of sugar per serving! That's basically a candy gummy. I switched to these for convenience but it feels like I'm undoing all the good from my paleo diet. What's the point of taking a supplement if it's full of sugar? Might as well eat actual candy.
I get ya, but I don't think it's that big of a deal. I take them before my workouts and the quick sugar actually gives me a boost. Plus, it's not like I'm eating the whole bottle. Moderation, right? I'm not doing paleo, though. Maybe that's the difference.
I see both sides, but I lean toward Zack on this one. I teach yoga and I feel like we should be mindful of what we put in our bodies. Even small amounts of refined sugar can affect your energy and focus. I've switched to a liquid supplement that's unsweetened, but I know not everyone likes that. It's about finding what aligns with your values, I guess.
As a keto guy, I absolutely avoid these. 5g of sugar is a joke. They might as well be Sour Patch Kids. I get the convenience factor, but you can find sugar-free options or just take pills. I think it's a marketing ploy to make supplements feel like a treat. No thanks.
Fair point, Xenon. But for me, the convenience and taste keep me consistent. Honestly, if they tasted like chalk, I'd probably stop taking them. But I hear ya – to each their own. Maybe I'll try the sugar-free ones next time.
