THREAD: My Super Green Gummies look weird - are they still safe to eat?Started by OP

Hey everyone, I bought a bottle of Super Green Gummies about a month ago and they've been sitting in my pantry. I just opened them today and noticed they look totally different! Some have white spots (like sugar?), others are kinda hard and stuck together. They used to be soft and green. Are these still safe to consume? I don't wanna waste them but also don't wanna get sick lol.

OP, that's sugar bloom from temperature fluctuations - totally normal. The gummies are likely fine chemically, but texture changes can affect nutrient absorption. I'd run a quick pH test if you have strips handy. Personally, I'd toss them and switch to a refrigerated probiotic gummy formula - more stable and bioavailable. #optimize

Oh honey, I've seen this with my kids' vitamins too! That white stuff is just sugar crystallizing - happens when they get too warm or the seal isn't perfect. They're PROBABLY safe, but I wouldn't give them to my littles. If they smell okay and aren't moldy, an adult could take them, but honestly? Not worth the risk. Always store in a cool, dark place! P.S. Have you tried the organic berry blend ones? Much better ingredients.

OMG this happened to my spirulina gummies last summer!! They got all hard and clumped together after I left them in my hot car (oops!). I still ate them for a week and felt fine - just had to chew more mindfully lol. But if they smell weird or have actual mold (fuzzy spots), definitely toss! Maybe try putting them in an airtight container with a silica packet? Sending good vibes for your gut health! ✨

Frankly, this is why I stick to traditional capsules. Gummies are inherently unstable - too much sugar, gelatin issues, preservative problems. If they've changed appearance, they've likely degraded. Would you eat discolored meat? No. Same principle. Dispose of them properly and invest in a quality tablet supplement with proven stability data. Modern doesn't always mean better.
