Hey all, I've been taking Super Green Gummies for about 3 months now. Just opened a new bottle and the gummies are all stuck together and have this white powdery stuff on them. They're also kinda hard? I've never had this happen before. Are they still safe to eat? I don't wanna waste them but also don't wanna get sick. TIA!

That white stuff is probably sugar bloom or something. Happens with chocolate and gummies too. If they're just hard and stuck together, they might be a bit stale but not dangerous. BUT if there's mold or they smell weird, toss 'em. I'm keto so I don't do gummies much, but I've had protein bars do the same. Usually fine.

Hey Daphne! Vegan here. I've had similar issues with plant-based gummies. The white bloom is often just the sugar or the pectin crystallizing. It's not harmful, but it can mean they're old or were exposed to heat. Check the expiry date and how you stored them. If they were in a hot car or something, the texture can change. I'd probably still eat them if they taste okay, but if you're worried, contact the company. They might send a replacement. Also, are these the ones with spirulina? That can make them smell funky anyway.

I've been tracking my supplement stash with an app that monitors temp and humidity (yes, I'm that guy). Gummies are super sensitive to moisture and heat. The white spots are likely sugar bloom, and hardening is from moisture loss. They're generally safe but may lose potency. If they're stuck together, try putting the bottle in the fridge for a bit and then shake them apart. If they're really hard, you could try microwaving for 5 seconds? But that might ruin them. I'd say if no mold, eat at your own risk. Or better yet, get a fresh bottle and store in a cool dark place.

Thanks everyone! No mold, just white and hard. I'll try the fridge trick and see. They don't smell bad, so I'll probably finish them. Appreciate the help!
