Super Green Gummies in CVS Easter Guide? Anyone seen these?
So I just read this article about festive Easter candies at CVS, and it mentions our beloved Super Green Gummies are featured! That's awesome, but also surprising. I mean, it's not really a candy, but I guess the green color fits the theme. Have any of you spotted these on shelves? Thinking about grabbing a few for my kids' baskets - they'll never know they're getting vitamins, haha!
Haha, sneaky parents unite! I actually saw them last week at my local CVS in the Easter section. They were right next to the jelly beans and chocolate eggs. It's a smart move by the company, but I'm a bit worried that they're pushing gummies as candy. I mean, we all know they're not just treats, but kids might eat a whole bottle thinking they're candy. Anyway, I picked up a couple bags for the kids too. It's a nice way to get them their greens without the fight.
I'm a bit torn on this. On one hand, it's cool that our favorite supplement is getting more visibility. But as a paleo dieter, I'm always cautious about anything that markets gummies as healthy candy. These Easter editions might have extra sugar or food colorings. I'd rather stick to the regular ones I buy online. Have you checked the ingredient list? I'd love to know if they changed anything for this promo.
@TeaTina566 good point! I actually compared the labels. The Easter ones have the same base ingredients but they added some natural colors like beet juice and turmeric (I think) to get that pastel green. No artificial dyes though, which is cool. So they're still pretty clean. But yeah, still not a candy - I hope people don't confuse them. I just wish they'd label it more clearly as a supplement.
Thanks for checking, @LemonLiam684! That puts my mind at ease. I'll definitely grab a few for the kids. Gotta love sneaking in those vitamins. And @TeaTina566, I hear you on the marketing. But at least the company is being transparent about ingredients. Let's hope they don't go overboard with sugar in future promos. Happy Easter, everyone!
