Traveling with Super Green Gummies – Will They Melt? TSA Tips?
Hey y'all, I'm flying next week to visit my grandkids and wanted to bring my Super Green Gummies. But I'm worried they might melt in my suitcase or get confiscated by TSA. Anyone have experience traveling with these? Do they get soft in warm weather? And do I need to keep them in the original bottle?
I took them on a road trip last summer – they got a little sticky but didn't melt completely. I'd suggest keeping them in a cool part of your bag, maybe near a water bottle that's cold? TSA didn't bat an eye when I had them in my carry-on. They're just supplements, not drugs. I'd keep the original label just in case.
According to TSA guidelines, solid supplements are allowed in both carry-on and checked bags. Gummies are considered solid. For melting: the gelatin can soften above 90°F, so avoid direct sun or hot car trunks. I've flown with them many times – no issues. Pro tip: pack them in a small insulated bag or with an ice pack if you're worried.
I brought mine hiking in the desert last month – they turned into a blob inside the bottle! Not unusable, but messy. If you're hiking, keep them in a cooler or at least wrapped in a damp cloth. For TSA, I always put mine in my personal item (backpack) and take them out at security – never had a problem. Safe travels!
