Hey all! New here. I take the Vitamin C gummies every morning, but I also love my coffee. Is it safe to take them together? I heard vitamin C might interact with caffeine or something. Any thoughts?

Honestly, I'd be cautious. I've read that vitamin C can enhance iron absorption, and coffee can inhibit it, but that's about it. I don't think there's a dangerous interaction, but everyone's body is different. Maybe just take them at separate times to be safe?

I take my gummies with OJ and coffee every morning! Never had an issue. But I'm not a doc. If you're worried, check with your healthcare provider. I think it's fine, though.

From a scientific standpoint, there's no known adverse interaction between vitamin C and caffeine. Vitamin C is water-soluble and excreted if excess. Coffee doesn't destroy it. However, high doses of vitamin C might cause stomach upset, and coffee can be acidic, so if you have a sensitive stomach, maybe take them apart. Also, vitamin C can increase absorption of non-heme iron from plant foods, but coffee can reduce it. So if you eat a plant-based breakfast, take the gummy at a different time than coffee.

Just a thought from a wellness perspective: caffeine can spike cortisol, and vitamin C helps manage stress, so taking them together might balance that. I'd say listen to your body. If you feel jittery, separate them. Maybe start with a smaller dose and see how it goes. Namaste.
