THREAD: Can I take Vitamin C gummies with my morning coffee? Safety check!Started by OP

Hey everyone, quick question! I've been taking these Vitamin C gummies every morning (the brand is 'SunnyBoost' if that matters). I usually have them with my breakfast, which includes a big cup of coffee. Is that okay? Like, does coffee mess with the absorption or something? Just wanna make sure I'm not wasting my gummies or, worse, causing some weird reaction. Thanks!

OP, good on you for asking! First off, are those SunnyBoost gummies sugar-free? If not, you might wanna switch—added sugar in vitamins is just unnecessary. About the coffee: caffeine can sometimes interfere with nutrient absorption, but Vitamin C is pretty robust. I'd still space them out by 30 mins to be safe. Personally, I take my sugar-free C gummies with water on an empty stomach, then coffee later. Keeps it clean!

As a granola parent, I'm all about natural sources, but gummies are great for kids (mine love 'em!). Coffee might reduce iron absorption, but Vitamin C actually helps with that—so maybe it balances out? I'd check with a doc if you're concerned. We do gummies after breakfast here, coffee earlier. Also, watch for added colors in those gummies; some brands use artificial stuff. Just my two cents!

Busy pro here—I feel you! I pop my Vitamin C gummies with my espresso shot every morning, no issues so far. Saves time, and I haven't gotten sick in ages, so maybe it's working? But MountainMike has a point about spacing. If you're worried, maybe take the gummy at your desk 20 mins after coffee. Efficiency is key, right? Just avoid taking with dairy; that can mess with absorption more than coffee.

Another granola parent chiming in! I agree with MindfulMila—whole foods are best, but gummies are a handy backup. Coffee's acidity might not play nice with the gummy's ingredients over time, but it's probably fine short-term. My tip: pair it with a banana or oatmeal instead for better synergy. And yeah, always opt for organic, no-gelatin gummies if you can. Stay sunny!
