Gummies turned into rock candy – safe to eat?

Hey everyone! I bought a new bottle of Vitamin C gummies about a month ago. Stored them in a cool dark place as usual, but now they're all stuck together in one big clump and have a weird hard texture. They also have white spots on some – sugar bloom? Are these still safe to take? I hate wasting money but also don't want to get sick.

Probably just sugar crystallization or moisture loss. They should be safe, but the taste and texture might be off. I'd try microwaving them for a few seconds to soften them up. Or just toss them if you're picky about texture – I know I am!

I had the same issue with my magnesium gummies. Read online that if they're just hard and not moldy, they're fine. The white bloom is sugar, not mold. So id say they're safe. But if you're worried, you could contact the company. 🧘

As a minimalist, I avoid tossing things unnecessarily. If it's just texture change, they're probably okay. But check for any funky smells or spots that are green/black – that'd be mold. Otherwise, enjoy them as crunchy gummies! 😄

Happened to my first brand too. It's just the gummies aging – heat or humidity got to them. They're safe, but the vitamin C might have degraded a bit. I switched to a brand that uses a foil pouch to avoid this. Try that next time!
