Hey everyone! I just started taking these Vitamin C gummies (the ones from the category). I usually have a cup of coffee in the morning, and I was wondering if it's okay to take them together? I've heard Vitamin C can help with iron absorption, but does coffee mess with it? Or is it just a waste? I'm training for a marathon and want to make sure I'm getting the most out of my supplements. Any thoughts?

Yo Wendy! I'm not a doc, but from what I've read, coffee is a diuretic, so it might flush out water-soluble vitamins like C quicker. But honestly, it's not a big deal if you're not going overboard. I take my gummies with my pre-workout (which has caffeine) and I'm fine. Just don't expect the coffee to boost the vitamin C or anything. It's more about consistency. Keep crushing those miles!

Actually, I've seen some studies that coffee can reduce absorption of certain nutrients, but vitamin C is pretty hardy. The real question is: are you taking iron too? Because coffee inhibits iron absorption, and vitamin C helps iron. If you take vit C with coffee, it might not help with iron as much. But if you're just taking C for immunity, you're good. Also, check the gummies for added caffeine – some have it (weird). Otherwise, enjoy your coffee!

Thanks for the input! I don't take iron, so that's not a concern. But I didn't know some gummies have caffeine – mine don't, I checked. I guess I'll just take them with my breakfast and have coffee right after. Better safe than sorry. Thanks again!

No problem! And hey, if you're really worried, just take the gummy with orange juice – that's like double Vitamin C, haha. But don't overdo it; too much C can upset your stomach. Keep it simple. You got this marathon, Wendy!
