Anyone else get vivid dreams from Vitamin D gummies?

So I started taking Vitamin D gummies about a week ago (the orange flavor ones) and ever since I've been having these super vivid, almost lucid dreams. Not scary, just really detailed. Is this normal? I used to take the pills and never had this happen.

I'm on night shift too, so I know all about weird sleep stuff. But yeah, I've heard that Vitamin D can affect your dreams. It's fat-soluble, so it might be absorbing differently in gummy form? I'd say give it a few more days and see if it levels out. I get vivid dreams from the melatonin gummies more than Vit D, but everyone's different.

That's actually a known thing! Vitamin D plays a role in serotonin and melatonin production, which can influence sleep cycles. The gummies might be giving you a quicker spike in levels, causing more REM activity. I'm all for it, I actually like the vivid dreams lol. Just make sure you're taking them in the morning, not at night, to avoid messing with your sleep further.

I keep it simple, I just take the drops, but my wife tried the gummies and she said the same thing. She also noticed her urine was super bright yellow, but that's just excess B vitamins, nothing to worry about. Anyway, we switched to taking them with breakfast and it helped with the dreams a bit. Maybe try that?

As a marathon runner, I'm all about optimizing my sleep. I've read that Vitamin D can boost dream vividness, especially if you were deficient before. It's a sign your body is absorbing it, so I wouldn't stress. If it's too much, split the dose or take it earlier in the day. Your brain will adjust in a couple weeks, I bet.
