Gummies got hard and sugary - safe to eat?
Hey everyone! My bottle of Vitamin D gummies has been sitting in my warm car for a few days and now they're all stuck together and have white stuff on them. They also feel hard as rocks. Are these still safe to eat? I don't want to waste them but also don't wanna get sick.
Definitely toss 'em. The white stuff is sugar bloom, but the heat can degrade the vitamin D and even cause mold. Not worth the risk. I'm all about biohacking, but expired or damaged supps are a no-go.
Man, I feel your pain. As a sleep-deprived parent, I've eaten worse looking gummies out of desperation lol. But seriously, if they're hard and clumpy, they've probably lost potency. I'd say it's safe texture-wise, but don't expect much benefit. But I'd still buy a new bottle if you can afford it.
Traditional remedies teach us that when food changes, it's usually not good. Gummies are processed anyway, so if they're altered, best to discard. Make sure to store them in a cool, dry place next time. Sorry for your loss!
