Is it safe to eat gummies that have changed color and texture?
Hey everyone! My Vitamin D gummies have been sitting in my car for a few days (I know, dumb) and now they're all stuck together and have a weird white coating. Also the color seems a bit off. Are they still safe to eat? They're expensive and I don't wanna waste them.
Ugh, that sucks! I'd say better safe than sorry. Gummies can degrade in heat and humidity. The white coating is probably sugar bloom, which is harmless, but the texture change might mean they've lost potency. I wouldn't risk it, honestly.
Honestly, I've eaten gummies that looked like that and was fine. But I'm not a doctor lol. If they've been in a hot car, the vitamin D might have degraded. For peace of mind, I'd toss 'em and get a new bottle. They're not THAT expensive in the long run.
From a holistic perspective, your body is a temple. Gummies that have changed form have altered energy. I'd recommend a detox and buy fresh ones. Maybe store them in a cool, dark place next time. Your health is worth more than the cost!
Thanks everyone! I think I'll just buy new ones. Better safe than sorry, right? Lesson learned: no gummies in the car!
