So my 5yo daughter found my bottle of Vitamin D gummies and thought they were candy. She ate like 6 before I caught her! I freaked out but she says she feels fine. Anyone else had this happen? How do you keep them away from kids?

Oh man, that's scary! I always keep my vitamins in a high cabinet, even the gummy ones. But honestly, they're basically candy, so it's easy for kids to mistake them. Maybe you should switch to non-gummy form? Just a thought.

Haha, that's a classic! My husband did that with my melatonin gummies once. He ate a handful and slept for 12 hours. Now we keep them in a lockbox. But also, check the dosage – 6 might be too much for a kid, so maybe call your doc just to be safe.

I've been there! My son refused to eat them because of the texture – he said they were 'too chewy'. But anyway, for the candy mix-up, I found that keeping them in a jar with a child-proof lid helps. Also, I try to explain to my kids that vitamins are medicine, not candy. It's a struggle though!

Definitely call poison control if she ate a bunch. Better safe than sorry. But also, consider switching to a brand that has a more medicinal taste? Just kidding. But seriously, I'd recommend getting a vitamin organizer that locks. Out of sight, out of mind. Kids are sneaky!
