Hey everyone! I just started taking Vitamin D gummies and I usually have my coffee right when I wake up. Is it safe to take them together? Or should I wait? Also, does coffee affect absorption? Thanks!

I'm no expert but I've read that caffeine might interfere with vitamin D absorption a bit. I take mine with a meal that has some fat, helps absorb better. Coffee on empty stomach might not be ideal. Maybe take them with breakfast instead?

In holistic practice, we often recommend taking fat-soluble vitamins like D with a source of fat, like eggs or avocado. Coffee itself isn't harmful, but if it's black and you're taking the gummy right after, it might not absorb as well. Have you tried taking it with your breakfast? Also, some people find that vitamin D in the morning can interfere with melatonin production later, but that's more individual. Listen to your body!

I take my vitamin D gummies with my pre-workout (which has caffeine) every morning and I've been fine. But I also eat a banana or something with it. Honestly, I think as long as you're consistent, you'll see benefits. But if you're worried, maybe just space them out an hour or so.

Thanks everyone! I'll try taking them with breakfast and maybe a little yogurt for the fat. That seems like a good compromise. Appreciate the advice!
