Just read this article about getting enough Vitamin D without sun. It mentions how hard it is in winter, and I'm guilty of being indoors all day. I've been thinking about gummies, but are they actually effective? What do you all think?

Great article! I've always said that our modern lifestyle robs us of natural vitamin D, especially for those of us in northern climates. While gummies are convenient, don't forget that we can also get D from foods like fatty fish and egg yolks. I personally recommend a combo of diet and supplementation, but if you're going for gummies, look for one with vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) as it's more bioavailable. And don't forget to pair with some healthy fats for absorption! 🌞

Honestly, I'm a bit skeptical. Most gummies are packed with sugar and artificial stuff. Are they really better than just taking a pill? I've read that many supplements aren't even tested for what they claim. If you're low on D, probably a blood test is best, then a proper supplement. But to each their own.

I've been loving Vitamin D gummies! They're so easy to remember to take, and they taste like candy. I know some are worried about sugar, but there are brands with organic cane sugar or even sugar-free options. The key is to choose a reputable brand that third-party tests. Also, I pair them with my morning smoothie. It's a mood booster, for sure!

Thanks for the input! I might look for one with D3 and low sugar. The article also mentioned that you can get D from mushrooms exposed to UV light, which is interesting. Do you think gummies are as effective as capsules? And how much D should I take? I'm confused with all the different dosages.
