THREAD: Vitamin D Gummies - Are we all taking them correctly? New article on dosage limitsStarted by OP

Hey everyone, just came across this article and thought it was super relevant for our gummy vitamin discussions! # Are you taking supplements correctly? Here’s a guide on their dosage limits A recent report highlights a crucial, yet often overlooked, aspect of the booming supplement industry: the importance of proper dosage and not exceeding limits, even with seemingly harmless gummies. The article mentions that many people double-dose or combine supplements without realizing the risks, especially with fat-soluble vitamins like D that can build up in your system. What do you all think? Are we being careful enough with our Vitamin D gummies? I admit I sometimes take an extra one if I feel run down...

Great share OP! As a holistic healer, I've seen clients come in with vitamin D toxicity from over-supplementing. The body needs balance - it's not just 'more is better.' With gummies, the temptation is real because they taste like candy! I recommend getting your levels tested first, then supplementing mindfully. Nature intended us to get D from sunlight, so consider that alongside your gummies. Also, take them with a fat-containing meal for better absorption!

Interesting article! As someone on a paleo diet, I'm cautious about supplements in general. Our ancestors didn't have gummy vitamins, right? I get most of my Vitamin D from fatty fish, egg yolks, and liver. But during winter months, I do take a D3 gummy - just one, not two! The dosage thing is key. My tip: read labels carefully, some brands pack way more than the daily value. And OP, maybe don't take that extra gummy when tired - could be something else your body needs!

This is why I advocate for whole-food approaches first! But since we're talking gummies - quality matters SO much. Many contain artificial colors, gelatin from questionable sources, or excessive sugars. Look for clean brands with transparent sourcing. As for dosage, I agree with testing levels. I rotate my D gummy with mushroom-based D supplements for variety. And remember, magnesium helps D absorption too - it's all connected in our holistic health journey!

As an eco-warrior, my concern is both personal and planetary! First, thanks OP for raising awareness - overconsumption hurts us AND creates waste. I choose vegan, plastic-free packaged D gummies from ethical companies. Dosage-wise, I follow the 'less is more' philosophy. 15 mins of midday sun gives you D naturally without supplements! But when needed, I take half a gummy (1000 IU) not full dose. Let's be mindful consumers - for our health and Earth!
