Vitamin D gummies for sleep... but my skin is glowing??

So I started taking these Vitamin D3 gummies (2000 IU) about 3 weeks ago because I read on some biohacking blog that it helps with sleep quality. I wasn't really expecting much, maybe just a placebo. But my sleep is still kinda meh... HOWEVER, I've noticed my skin is way less dry and I swear my random stress breakouts are gone. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it the D or am I just lucky? Also taking K2 and magnesium at night if that matters.

Dude, yes! I've been nomading through SE Asia and started D gummies cuz I'm inside all day coding. My skin cleared up too, but I also think it's cuz I'm sweating less from the humidity? Not sure. But I did notice I'm way less irritable in the afternoons. Could be the D or could be the fact I stopped drinking 3 coffees a day lol. What brand are you using? Some gummies have weird fillers that can mess with you.

Med student here. Vitamin D does have a role in skin barrier function and immune modulation, so it's plausible. But 2000 IU might be low if you're deficient. Have you gotten bloodwork? Also, taking K2 with D is smart for calcium metabolism. The stress thing could be indirect—better sleep = less cortisol. But if sleep is still meh, maybe try taking it in the morning? Some people find D too stimulating at night. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the replies! @RhinoRich254 I'm using the 'Sunny D' brand from Amazon, nothing fancy. @SupplementSteve452 I haven't done bloodwork yet, but I'm gonna ask my doc next month. I'll try switching to morning and see if sleep improves. But honestly, the skin benefits alone are worth it. Anyone else notice less joint pain? My knees feel better after workouts too. Maybe it's all in my head lol.

Joint pain, yes! I thought it was just from sitting in weird cafe chairs all day, but now that you mention it, my knees don't crack as much. Maybe we're onto something. Or maybe we're just getting more sun? Either way, I'll take it. Keep us posted on the bloodwork!
