My gummies turned hard and sugared over - safe to eat?

Hey all! So I've been taking these Black Seed Oil Gummies (ginger ale flavor) for a couple weeks now. I noticed yesterday that they've gotten harder and there's a white sugary coating on them. Also they are sticking together a bit. Is this normal? I know gummies can do that, but are they still safe to eat? I don't want to waste them, but also don't want to get sick. Any advice?

Ah, the good ol' sugar bloom! Happens to the best of gummies. It's just the sugar crystallizing on the surface, totally harmless. As for the hardening, that's likely from moisture loss or temperature changes. If they were sealed properly, they should be fine. I've eaten gummies like that many times, never had an issue. Just check for any mold or funky smell - if none, you're good to go!

I've had similar with my gummies, they got hard and sugary but still worked. But if they are sticking together, maybe they got a bit warm and melted then re-set. Usually fine, just might be a bit chewier. I'd say store them in a cooler place next time. But eating them? I'd still take them, just maybe break them apart. As long as no mold, you're safe!

I'm all about tech, but I'm also a gummy enthusiast. The white stuff is just sugar crystallization, it's like when chocolate gets that white bloom. Nothing bad. The hardening is just from the gelatin or pectin drying out a bit. They are definitely safe. But if they are sticking together, that could mean they absorbed some moisture, but that's not a big deal either. I've kept gummies in my car (bad idea) and they still were fine. Just keep them in a cool, dry place and they'll be okay.
