Hey all, night shift worker here who's finally taking a vacation! I'm flying to visit family next week and want to bring my Black Seed Oil Gummies (Natural Ginger Ale flavor) with me. Do these things melt easily? Worried about them getting gooey in my carry-on. Also, what's the deal with TSA - are gummy supplements okay? I take them for joint pain after my long shifts, so don't want to be without them!

Great question! As a parent who's always schlepping kids and snacks everywhere, I've traveled with these exact gummies on road trips. They're pretty stable - I've left them in the car during summer hikes and they held up fine, just got a bit softer. The cold-pressed oil seems to help them not melt completely. For TSA: I always put supplements in original bottles with labels showing ingredients. Never had issues, but I keep them in my carry-on so they don't freeze in checked luggage. Pro tip: throw a silica gel packet in with them for extra moisture protection!

Retired nurse here - from a medical perspective, temperature stability matters for potency. While they won't 'melt' like candy, extended heat exposure (like a hot car dashboard) could degrade the black cumin seed oil benefits. TSA allows supplements in reasonable quantities for personal use. I traveled with mine to Europe last month - kept them in a ziplock in my personal item, declared them at security just to be safe. The ginger ale flavor actually helped with my motion sickness on the plane!

Thanks both! Olivia - good call on the silica packet, gonna steal that. Claire - didn't think about the potency angle. My flight's only 4 hours, so should be okay in my backpack. Follow-up: if I'm hiking at my destination, should I refrigerate them at the hotel or just keep in my daypack? The bottle says 'store in cool place' but not specific.

For hiking days, I'd keep them in your daypack but maybe in an insulated lunch bag with an ice pack if it's really hot. At the hotel, bathroom counter is fine (away from shower steam). These are more resilient than people think - we've taken them camping in 80°F weather and they were totally fine. Just don't leave them baking in direct sun! Safe travels Pete - hope they help with those night shift aches on your trip ✌️
