Traveling with Black Seed Oil Gummies - Will They Melt? TSA?
Hey everyone, heading on a long flight tomorrow, then a road trip. I want to bring my Black Seed Oil Gummies (the ginger ale ones - love 'em!) but worried they might melt in my carry-on or get squished in my backpack. Also, anyone know TSA rules on gummies? They're not liquid or anything but still... just anxious. And for hiking, any tips to keep them cool? Thanks!
Hey! Good timing - I just took these on a two-week trip (plane + hiking in Utah). No melting issues at all! I kept them in my personal item under the seat, not the overhead bin where it gets hot. They held up fine - no gooey mess. TSA-wise, solid food is allowed, and gummies are solid, so you're good. I've never had an issue. Just keep them in the original bottle to avoid questions. For hiking, I put them in a small cooler with an ice pack if I'm out all day, but honestly they're okay temp-wise up to like 90°F. Just don't leave them in a hot car!
I'm a big traveler too! I've carried these on multiple international flights. I second the original bottle tip. Also, I always put them in a ziplock baggie just in case they get squished (extra protection). TSA has never even blinked. If you're worried about melting, you could freeze them at home (they freeze well, I've done it) and then they'll thaw slowly during travel. But yeah, they are pretty stable. Enjoy your trip!
Thanks for the replies! Freezing is a pro move, I might try that. And the ziplock bag - forgot that. Appreciate the tips! Safe travels, everyone!
