Hey all, I'm trying to buy a 'health pack' gift for my aging dad (he's 72, always tired) and also for my fitness-obsessed friend (runs marathons). Came across these Emergen-C 750mg Vitamin C Gummies with B vitamins, gluten free, 3 flavors. Anyone tried these? Good for a parent or an athlete? Or should I look at something else?

Oh man, I grew up on Emergen-C powder packets! These gummies are dope for a quick vitamin C boost. But for your dad, the B vitamins might help with energy. For your running friend, he prob needs more than just vitamin C – maybe a multi or electrolyte gummies. But as a stocking stuffer, these are solid. The orange/tangerine/raspberry mix is tasty, not too sweet.

I ever used these in a recipe? No, but I'd say they're good for a general health gift. The 750mg of C is hefty, but it's water soluble so you'll just pee out excess. For the runner, maybe something with magnesium or zinc too? But for a parent who doesn't eat well, these are a nice nudge. Also gluten free is a plus if they have sensitivities.

As a retired nurse, I'd say for your dad, these are decent but watch the sugar – they have 2g per gummy. For seniors, sugar can add up. They do have B6 and B12 which help with energy and nerve function. For the runner, they might like the convenience, but they'd probably benefit more from a complete B-complex or a recovery formula. The flavors are fine, but my patients always complained the texture is a bit sticky with these gummies.

Thanks everyone! I think I'll get a bottle for my dad as a little extra, but I'll look into a broader multivitamin gummy for my runner friend. Appreciate the tips!
