THREAD: Are these ACV gummies just candy in disguise? Sugar content debate!Started by SupplementSteve43

Hey everyone, just saw these Force Factor ProbioSlim Keto ACV Gummies advertised and had to vent. They claim to be '1 net carb' and all that, but when I checked the label online, they still have sugar alcohols and stevia. As someone who cooks everything from scratch, this feels like another case of 'candy-fication' of supplements. Why can't we just take a shot of real apple cider vinegar? Are we so lazy that we need our health fixes to taste like candy? What happened to purity in supplements?

Steve, I hear you, but as a retired nurse, I've seen patients struggle with compliance. Real ACV is harsh on the stomach and teeth, and many folks won't stick with it. These gummies might have some additives, but if they get people taking probiotics and ACV regularly, that's a win. The 1 net carb claim is helpful for keto dieters too. Sometimes convenience leads to better long-term health outcomes. What's the alternative? People skipping supplements altogether?

Ugh, this makes my eco-heart ache! All that processing, packaging, and probably artificial flavors to make it 'apple' flavored. Why not just eat organic apples and fermented foods for probiotics? The supplement industry is so wasteful. I get that Liam has a point about compliance, but we're teaching people to rely on packaged solutions instead of whole foods. Also, what's the environmental cost of 120 plastic gummy containers vs. a bottle of local ACV?

Liam, I get the compliance angle, but it feels like we're lowering standards. My grandma took her cod liver oil straight and lived to 95! And Yara, totally agree on the waste—I reuse my glass vinegar bottles for marinades. Maybe there's a middle ground? Like a less-processed ACV pill? But these gummies seem like they're targeting people who want a 'treat,' not a supplement. Anyone tried them and felt actual benefits, or is it just placebo?

Steve, your grandma was tough as nails! But times change—we have options now. I haven't tried these specific gummies, but I've recommended similar probiotic gummies to patients with digestive issues who hated pills. They reported less bloating and better immunity. Yara, I share your eco-concerns, but for some with busy lives or dietary restrictions, this might be the only way they get these nutrients. Maybe the company could use compostable packaging? Just a thought.
