My kid thinks my ACV gummies are candy – help!
Okay, so I bought these Force Factor ProbioSlim Keto ACV gummies because I heard they're good for digestion and all that. They're in the pantry, and my 6-year-old found them and thought they were gummy bears! He ate like 5 before I noticed. Now I'm freaking out – is that safe? He's fine so far, but should I be worried? Also, he said they taste like 'weird apples' lol. Any advice?
Oh man, that's a classic! I once had my husband mistake my melatonin gummies for candy. He ate a handful and was knocked out for 12 hours. For these ACV gummies, 5 is probably okay, but definitely keep them out of reach – the bottle says take 2 max. They have probiotics and stuff, so maybe he'll just have some extra gas or a tummy rumble. Watch for any upset stomach. And yeah, the apple flavor is a bit 'off' – more like sour apple than sweet. Lol.
Ha! This reminds me of when I was a kid and my grandma had these 'chocolate laxatives' that looked like regular chocolate. Let's just say we learned our lesson. But on the bright side, your kid might have the healthiest gut in his kindergarten class now! 😂 In all seriousness, those have ACV and probiotics, so a bit too much might give him a stomach ache. I'd call your pediatrician if you're worried, but he'll probably be fine.
First off, why are you buying keto gummies anyway? They're a marketing gimmick. But yeah, keep them locked up. Kids are like little raccoons with these things. My daughter refused to even try mine because she said they 'smell like vinegar'. She's not wrong. As long as he didn't eat the whole bottle, he's fine. Just monitor him and maybe get a child-proof container for the future.
Thanks everyone! I'll keep an eye on him and definitely get a safer container. And yeah, Vince, I know they're not magic, but I like the taste and they don't have sugar. Thanks for the reassurance – he's already asking for another one, so I gotta hide them better! 😅
