Hey all, I started giving my 7yo these Luna Kids Sleep Gummies for her occasional sleeplessness. She sleeps great, but I've noticed she's been telling me about super vivid dreams - not nightmares, just really detailed and strange. Also, I swear my own taste buds have changed? Like, even water tastes a bit sweet now. I'm using them too because they're non-habit forming. Has anyone else experienced this?

Oh, vivid dreams are actually a well-documented effect of melatonin, especially in children. It's not harmful, but it can be unsettling. The taste bud thing is odd - it could be the valerian root or chamomile altering your perception, but it should go away once you stop. I'm a retired nurse, and I've seen this before. Just keep an eye on it. Also, maybe your daughter is just enjoying the extra dream time!

Bro, I take these before my workouts sometimes (yeah, I know they're for kids, but they're handy lol) and I get the craziest dreams too. One time I dreamed I was lifting a car with my pinky. Not complaining though, more fun than my usual gym nightmares. But bright neon urine - has anyone had that? I thought I was dying until I remembered I ate a bunch of beets. But could be the gummies?

I don't trust these newfangled gummies. My grandma used to give us warm milk and honey. But to each their own. I will say, any supplement that changes your dreams or taste is messing with your brain chemistry, so I'd be careful. Maybe stick to a routine and avoid screens before bed instead.

I'm a coffee addict and been popping these like candy (kidding, not really) to counter my caffeine jitters. I've had the vivid dreams, and I actually kind of love it - it's like a free movie every night. The bright urine? Yeah, I think it's from the riboflavin in the gummies. It's harmless. But taste buds? That's new. Maybe it's all in your head? Or maybe you're pregnant? LOL. Anyway, you're not alone.
