Hilarious but slightly concerning: My kid thinks the Luna gummies are candy!

Okay, so we just bought the Nested Naturals Luna Kids Sleep Gummies for our 6-year-old. The mixed berry flavor smells amazing, and our daughter LOVES them. TOO much. This morning I found her on the kitchen counter trying to unscrew the child-proof cap. She kept saying "candy, candy!" I had to hide them on the top shelf of the pantry. Anyone else have a gummy hoarder? 😂

Ha! That's funny, but be careful man. Those gummies have melatonin and valerian root – not something you want them to binge on. I leave my protein bars out and my dog once ate a whole box. Different scenario, but I feel you. Maybe get a lockable container? Or stash 'em in a vitamin bottle that's clearly labeled.

From a nurse's perspective, please keep those up high and out of sight. Melatonin overdose in kids can cause headaches, dizziness, and even nightmares. I know they're non-habit forming, but too much can mess with their natural sleep cycle. As for the taste, my grandson refuses them because he says they're "too chewy." Kids, am I right?

LOL! My husband did the same thing with my magnesium gummies. Thought they were candy and ate like 10. He said they were delicious but felt weird after. Now I have to hide my supplements from two kids and a grown man. But on a serious note, I agree with Claire – safety first. Maybe try a different brand with a less candy-like flavor if your kid is obsessed. Or hide them in a high cabinet with a lock.

Thanks everyone! I moved them to a high shelf in the laundry room. And BioBob, I might actually get a lockbox for all our supplements. It's just crazy how good they taste – I even tried one, and yeah, I see why she wanted more! 😅
