I've been testing these for my 7-year-old daughter for about three weeks now. As a biohacker, I appreciate the clean ingredient list - no artificial colors or high-fructose corn syrup. The combination of melatonin with valerian root and chamomile seems synergistic. I've noticed her falling asleep about 20 minutes faster on nights we use them, and she's staying asleep more consistently. Has anyone else tracked sleep metrics with these? I'm curious about long-term effects on sleep architecture in developing brains.

Okay, but how do they TASTE? I bought these for my picky 6-year-old who won't take anything that doesn't taste like candy. The mixed berry flavor is actually pretty good - not too medicinal, and the texture is nice and chewy without being sticky. My kid calls them 'sleepy berries' and asks for them at bedtime. My only concern is whether they're too tasty - I don't want her thinking they're regular gummies! Anyone else have kids who actually like the taste?

I'm skeptical about the 'non-habit forming' claim. As a fellow biohacker, I've read studies showing that even natural sleep aids can create psychological dependence in children. Has anyone tried cycling these - like 5 days on, 2 days off? I'm also curious about the melatonin dosage per gummy (1mg I think?) and whether that's appropriate for different age ranges. My 10-year-old might need different dosing than a 5-year-old.

Good points, Dan. I've been doing 4 days on, 3 days off with my daughter to avoid dependency. The 1mg dosage is actually on the lower end for kids melatonin products - some have 3mg or more. For younger kids, I'd start with half a gummy. Has anyone consulted with their pediatrician about these? Mine was cautiously optimistic but emphasized they shouldn't replace good sleep hygiene.

Our pediatrician said they were fine for occasional use when my daughter has trouble winding down. She suggested using them for transitions like after vacations or during stressful periods. The vegan aspect was a plus for us since we try to avoid gelatin. Anyone else using these situationally rather than every night? Also - do they need refrigeration after opening? The bottle doesn't say...

No refrigeration needed according to their website. Back to the ingredients - I'm researching the valerian root concentration. Some studies suggest it needs to be quite high to be effective. The combination approach makes sense theoretically, but I wonder if it's just marketing. Has anyone tried giving their kids just regular melatonin gummies to compare effectiveness? I'm considering doing a two-week trial with these versus a basic melatonin product.
