Is this a supplement or a gummy bear? Sugar content in OLLY Prenatal Gummies

I just bought these OLLY prenatal gummies for my daughter. She's been taking them for a month. I took a look at the label and saw they have 2g of added sugar per gummy! That's like eating candy every day. I remember when supplements were pills, no nonsense. Is this 'candy-fication' really necessary? She says they taste good, but I worry about the sugar. Am I overreacting?

I get where you're coming from, but I actually switched to gummies because I can't swallow pills. They're a lifesaver for me. I do watch my sugar intake elsewhere, but 2g seems small compared to a soda or candy bar. I think the convenience outweighs the sugar, as long as you're not eating the whole bottle! My doctor said these are fine for pregnancy.

I've been taking these for 6 months now. I'm not gonna lie, they do taste like candy. But I figure the folic acid and DHA are worth it. I just make sure to brush my teeth after. I think the 'candy-fication' is a marketing gimmick to get people to actually take their vitamins. Let's be real: if they tasted like chalk, no one would take them regularly.

Thanks for the perspectives. I guess I'm old-school. I still think there should be a sugar-free option. But if it helps her get the nutrients, maybe I'll lighten up. She's healthy, and that's what matters.
