THREAD: Thinking about trying OLLY Prenatal Gummies - Are they worth it for someone not pregnant?Started by PeakPaula

Hey everyone! I saw these OLLY prenatal gummies at the store and was intrigued, but I'm not pregnant or planning to be. I'm wondering if anyone has tried them just for general health? The folic acid and omega-3 DHA sound great for brain function, but I'm skeptical about the 'prenatal' label - is it just marketing? Also, the packaging seems excessive for 84 gummies. Has anyone checked if the ingredients are sustainably sourced? I'd love to hear experiences before I consider buying!

OMG, I've been taking these for about 3 months now! Not pregnant either - I started because I was looking for something to replace my morning coffee crash. The citrus berry flavor is actually delicious, and they don't have that weird vitamin aftertaste. I've noticed I'm more focused during work hours, but that could be placebo. My main concern is the sugar content - each gummy has 2g of sugar, which adds up if you take the recommended 2 daily. Has anyone else tracked their energy levels with these?

As someone who travels constantly, I appreciate that these don't require refrigeration! I've been taking them for 6 weeks during my digital nomad journey across Asia. The convenience is a huge plus, but I'm wondering about the vitamin D content - it says it supports healthy growth, but at 1000 IU per serving, is that enough for someone who's indoors most of the day working? Also, the bottle is bulky in my backpack. Has anyone found a travel-friendly alternative or hack for these?

Interesting discussion! From a yoga instructor perspective, I always recommend whole foods first, but supplements can fill gaps. I tried these briefly and liked that they include omega-3 DHA for brain health - crucial for meditation focus. However, I switched back to my liquid fish oil because the gummies contain gelatin (not vegan). For those interested, check if your diet already provides these nutrients. Has anyone compared these to other prenatal or general multivitamin gummies? The price point seems high at around $15 for 84 count.

Thanks for the insights everyone! @MindfulMila48, I'm glad they helped your energy - I might try them for that reason. @NatureNancy46, good point about travel - maybe transfer some to a smaller container? @MindfulMila, I didn't realize about the gelatin, that's a dealbreaker for me as a vegetarian. Does anyone know if there's a plant-based version with similar benefits? Or should I just stick to flaxseeds for omega-3?

Quick update: I checked the sugar thing more carefully - it's 2g per 2 gummies, so 1g each, which isn't terrible compared to some other gummy vitamins. Still, @PeakPaula, if you're eco-conscious, the plastic bottle isn't recyclable in my area. Maybe email OLLY about sustainable options? I'm sticking with them for now because they actually taste good and I remember to take them, unlike pills. Anyone else hate swallowing pills?
